Can I create a profile for someone else (a relative or friend)?

We designed Jodi365 to appeal to quality singles in a changing India. We also respect that people like to play matchmaker for a relative or friend, and let them.

Yes, you can.

After all, we recognize that many in Indian culture like to play matchmaker for a family member or friend.  Moreover, while we may have designed Jodi365 to appeal to the young generation, in a changing India, we have gone about doing it consciously, without antagonizing the parental generation.  (We'd bet that no Daadi or Dad would look up a casual-dating app's FAQs for, "Can I create a profile for my daughter here?")

You'll need to create a Jodi365 user account first.  At the sign up form, provide your name, email address, and password.  (Only the first name is required, and you don't have to worry about your name or email address' getting displayed publicly.)  You will need to provide and verify a mobile phone number also.  It is this phone number that will receive occasional, "service-implicit" SMS notifications of account activity.

One of the first questions you'll encounter as you begin the Jodi365 profile questionnaire is this: For whom are you creating a profile?

Options include:

  • Self
  • Son/daughter
  • Sibling
  • Cousin
  • Friend
  • Nephew/niece
  • Family friend
  • Other relative

We will then ask that person's name and also let you decide whether you will manage the profile or hand it over to them.
